Motivation
I have always enjoyed being entertained by film and television as well as being stimulated by art; this has grown into a driving ambition to work in these areas. I find the areas of graphic design and 2D animation especially exciting, as they are a fantastic platform for producing diverse work limited only by imagination.

Production Experience
I have completed a weeks work experience at a graphic design studio before I went to university. I worked closely with two of the existing designers who gave me the opportunity to complete actual briefs they had worked on in the past.

At university I was lucky enough to have the chance to work with a wide range of industry standard equipment. I have had experience using a variety of cameras in locations ranging from the high street to a TV studio to a small doctors surgery. I have also used the Adobe Creative Suite for a number of university projects as well as independent ones.

Since university I have completed a small number of independent projects. These include creating logos for a few small administrations and other design work.

Employment History
I have enjoyed working in a number of jobs in the past from being a sales assistant and stock room worker at Argos to adapting to a number of different responsibilities at a busy cinema in Lincoln. In all my previous jobs it has been essential to work in a team giving me the confidence to work with others whilst also developing my communication and people skills. I am also very confident dealing with customers and believe this to be a major strength of mine.

Skills
I am Mac literate and can also work using PC.

I have a good practical knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, which I use when producing animations and graphics. I also have experience with Adobe Illustrator,

I am competent working with many types of video camera

I have some experience in the following production and postproduction areas: direction, sound recording, editing, title design and creation as well as research. At university I also completed storyboards.

I would relish the opportunity to develop my skills with Adobe Illustrator, Quark, Flash and 3D applications. I would also like to develop my directorial skills.

I really enjoy most things that contain some element of artistic or graphical design, particularly posters and clothing. I have a real admiration of hand drawn animations, especially those that are composited with other elements such as CGI or live action footage. I have always loved film and would describe this as my major passion; my ultimate ambition is to one day direct my own feature film.

Hobbies outside work
My main hobby is football. I have played in many teams and have captained several; I enjoyed the extra responsibility and also the social aspects of this. I also spend a lot of my spare time drawing and lately I have begun using my artwork to make my own t-shirts. I really enjoy the cinema and visit frequently. I maintain a healthy social life and always look forward to meeting up with friends. I have recently spent three and a half months travelling in Central America. The trip really broadened my horizons and volunteering for one month in Costa Rica was a terrific experience, I was able to make many new friends with the other team members.
