Hi, I'm 45 years old and live in South Warwickshire with my wife and children in an old 17c Coaching Inn. I am a claims manager for a large local insurance company, but am currently on sick leave with depression and anxiety. Following diagnosis and had the urge to paintas a way of expressing my innermost feelings. Completley self taught I started with water colours and acrlylics and now experiment using different materials. Some days this is really so therapuetic although sometimes completely exhausting. Strangely, I feel the better work emerges when I'm feeling at my lowest. During the last year I have created several self portraits and am currently involved with my first exhibition 'Open Up' which runs from the 10 October to 31 October to help promote awareness of mental health issues.
