I studied at the OCA, Croydon college and Camberwell College of Arts. I use ceramics, assemblage and digital imaging to express my ideas. I tend to make series of objects. I became interested in collections and the notion of gathering objects together to display and catalogue whilst studying for my degree. Cabinets of curiosities and souvenirs, old fashioned museum displays Pitt-Rivers style and boxes with lots of compartments that can be filled with stuff, all fire my imagine. I like the idea of objects that can instigate stories, trigger a narrative. I remember as a child being fascinated by ceramic reliefs that my grandmother had in her home. I wove stories around those things and they are still vivid in my memory now.
