- Ruth A Drayer
Painter, writer, intuitive numerologist,
Ruth Abrams Drayer was born and raised in Washington, D.C., where she developed
her belief in the world as a global community. Her electic, spiritual approach
to life and her strong love of design and color is reflected in all that she
does. She began counseling as a numerologist in 1978. That led into teaching,
writing newspaper and magazine articles, speaking at conferences, Whole-Life
Expos, and appearing on radio and TV. She was invited to become the state
numerologist for Karnataka,
India and has
clients around the world.
In 1987, Drayer wrote Numerology: The Language of Life, the
first of four editions that became Numerology:
The Power in Numbers. Sold first through her own publishing company, Jewels
of Light Publishing, it is now published by Square One Publishers, and has sold
thousands of copies worldwide. She also co-created CybernumbersPro, Numerology: software on CD-ROM. used by Edgar
Cayce's A.R.E Bookstore for selling numerology reports.
In 1989, after working in various arts
related fields and traveling through Singapore,
Bali, India,
Europe, Israel, Egypt, Mexico
and America,
Drayer began writing the biography of two famous Russian visionaries. Nicholas and Helena Roerich, The Spiritual
Journey of Two Great Artists and Peacemakers, is published by Quest Books.
She co-produced the Roerich Video,
which won 2nd Place
in the 2004 Organ
Mountain. Film Festival.
Since the publication of Nicholas & Helena Roerich, Drayer
has lectured at Oglethorpe Museum of Fine Arts, Atlanta, Ga., the Raymond
Jonson Gallery, University of New
Mexico, Albuquerque, NM, the Nicholas Roerich Museum, New York City, the
Theosophical Society, Wheaton, IL, Arts of Russia Gallery, Santa Fe, NM, University Gallery at New Mexico State
University, the Las Cruces Cultural Center, Las Cruces, NM and various
bookstores in Washington, DC, Santa Fe, NM and other cities around the United
States.
In 1990, she began painting luminous,
mystical, colorful abstract paintings and has had several one-woman shows in New Mexico. Her work is
currently shown at the Main Street Gallery, Las Cruces, NM.
Recipient of the Award of Excellence in The Healing Power of Art Competition, Manhattan, NY,
Drayer was selected for inclusion in 2003-4
New Art International, A Compendium of Recent Works by World Contemporary
Artists and nominated for PNM's Rural Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Institute of Numerical Research, and University
of Texas in El
Paso and teaches numerology and creativity classes through the Las Cruces Community College. She has four
children, six grandchildren; and currently lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA.
