hi bob allen here,just to put you in the picture ,so to speak,im a self taught artist,started painting at home on a peice of hardboard useing ordinary household gloss and emulsion paint,then progressed to the `real` thing and got some oil paints,still useing only hardboard.then canvases became so cheap to buy,i started experimenting with black oils leaving the white of the canvas showing which seems to be quite effective,then progressing even further actually trying my hand with the colours,i love to draw figures and make street sceens up useing different figures from one book and other books then adding them to-gether to form `a picture`.im not clever enough to call my-self a `PORTRAIT` artist im more into impresiomism` (probably spelled that wrong).i love THE ROLLING STONES MUSIC,also THE WHO,MARRIANNE FAITHFULL,DUSTY SPRINGFIELD,DR.FEELGOOD,THE LATE GREAT JOHNNY CASH.My favourite artsts include MANET`,DAGAS,RENOIR,EDWARD HOPPER.my jobs include a deckhand,and cook on small coaster ships , building work ,driving,i currently work in a shopping `mall`,i have four kids and 3 beautiful grandchildren,im a very laid back person and dont let material things influence my life, my family and good health are most important things in life. people take me as they find me ,as the late great BRIAN JONES OF THE ROLLING STONES SAID IN HIS EPITAPH...WHEN THIS YOU SEE ,REMEMBER ME AND BARE ME IN YOUR MIND ,LET ALL THE WORLD SAY WHAT THEY MAY SPEAK OF ME AS YOU FIND/(R.I.P BRIAN).There are two quotes i adhere to,the first is .I DISAGREE WITH WHAT YOU SAY,BUT I WOULD DEFEND TILL THE DEATH YOUR RIGHT TO SAY IT.and NIEL ARMSTRONG..`THATS ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN..AND ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND....BOB ALLEN 01634 316753 or mobil 07847490877
