Personal statement
My work has compositional simplicity that has a complicated sentimental narrative. With my work I invite the viewer on a journey to catharsis. The main element of auto-biography gives the audience a voyeuristic participation. I illustrate my psyche and emotions onto the canvas with most of my characters being nude to amplify the intimacy I want with my audience. My flowers are raw and naive but always passionate. My work is expressive and earnest, raw and revealing. My view of the world is coloured by my experiences and I dare the viewer to relish the pain and the ecstasy, the horror and my daily triumphs.
