Michael J. A. Lowe - born in Rochester New York 1956
Growing up in an poor home he always had to be creative to ammuse himself
Michael is mainly a self taught artist having to rely on studying artist’s styles at the public library.
He continued to draw and paint all through out his working career and in 2003 suffered a major set back to his Art career when water damage and black mould destroyed over sixty five of his completed paintings.
Influenced by the styles of Van Gogh, Monet, and Kandinski’s bold use of colours, Michael continues down the path of improvement to his style.
Michael has been lucky to have lived in areas with exceptionally talented people around he has taken lessons from all he encounters
He is also greatly inspired by nature; the bold and beautiful colours of the US east coast in autumn, the lavish and lush bush land of New Zealand, the beautiful ocean and hinterland regions of Australia, and the splendour of south east asia in Spring, are all elements that he recalls when doing any art works
He has adapted his painting style into some thing that is not a "new era", but an amalgamation of Impressionistic, Abstract, and Figurative styles.
Working mostly in mix media uses personal interpretation to reflect the maximum of what he see’s, and seems to have a certain inner intuition on how to catch the best angles of a situation
