Whilst working in my student union several years ago I was asked to
paint some pictures, a set of six, which would be auctioned for
charity. I hadn't painted in years so it was an exciting but
challenging proposition.
As the theme was well women I decided
to paint strong images of women using vibrant bright colours in a
slightly different way. It was through doing this that I developed the
style with which I paint at the moment.
I've since gone strength to strength painting for restaurants, charities and several commissioned pieces.
I
describe my pictures as strong, vibrant and exciting. Mainly featuring
women as my subjects. Challenging the concept of colour and mixing
abstract hair with detailed faces and exaggerated features.
