Lilia Orlova-Holmes is best known for her paintings as well as installations, video projects and participation in live performances. Born in Moscow Lilia is a member of the National Artists' Union of Russia.
She now lives and works in London. She has sold over 300 works, buyers include Museum of modern Art in Vladivostok, Russia, Museum of Modern Textile Lodz, Poland, Museum 2020 Moscow, Russia.
She has exhibited in Gallery 181 London, Gallery A-3 Moscow, Commercial Gallery London, Prater Gallery Berlin, Windsor Art Center Windsor, Gallery 47 London, Jag Contemporary Gallery London, Webbs Gallery London, Russian Embassy London.
The artist aim is to create beauty within the canvas. She is interested in exploring relationship between form and colour. She works in improvisatory manner, her subjects including flowers, still life and nudes. Her spontaneous expressive style and fresh vibrant colours make her an original artist with strong individuality.
