Artist Statement
by Kimberly M.Belser
Art for me is a way to express feelings or emotions I cannot always verbalize.It gives me
a voice. My paintings usually start with emotions that are conveyed through the subject
matter and also through the use of color.Art should be both personal and universal.
Painting re-establishes my equilibrium.It clarifies and evokes.My influences include
Georgia O’Keefe and Freda Kahlo.
