Kat finished Interactive Arts course at
the Manchester Metropolitan University in 2011. She started exhibiting
while she was still a student. Her works were included in Chorlton,
Hulme and Didsbury Arts Festivals, exhibitions in Blank Media Collective
and Everyman Art Gallery in Manchester. Her Degree Show in Holden
Gallery at the MMU was well received � she became recognized in local
art circles.
In her works she intends to capture
movement, dynamism and transformation � The Essence of Life. Her
Paintings look very fluid, glossy and intricate. Irregular tactile
shapes and delicate lines with broad spectrum of shades infuse her works
with an intuitive and emotional symbolism of style with engaging and
powerful personal expression. They show bipolar relationship between transcendental presence of colours and their tangible existence. Her
fascination with experimentation and texture is how the colour is
prepared, the paint is poured and how it moves, mixes and congeals on
glossy surface; tactility of the paintings enables other senses making
art experience more intense. In her concept she is interested in dialogue between the colour and the texture creating a notable mark new to contemporary colourists� art scene, alluring and fascinating.
