About WHIMISICAL DOODLES' WHIMSICAL WORLDS:
Multi-talented illustrator-artist, Jan C.J. Jones is the creator behind Whimsical Doodle, an artist who envisions unique� worlds unfamiliar to most.� Described as �Peter Max meets� Kandinsky�, W. Doodle�s Whimsical Worlds was included in Pop Gesicht (roughly translated: the face of pop), a study collection established to survey the work of artists examining the effects of popular culture, and artists utilizing Pop techniques in both the fine and graphic arts. The Pop Gesicht collection intends to demonstrate that Pop is an artistic genre that is constantly evolving as the effects of popular culture continue to influence the face of art as a whole.
Colorful pen, pencils, markers and imagination create these Whimsical Worlds. Each doodle depicts a small part of a greater story to be completed by the observer. Mimicking how many people move through life, whimsical facades depict a deeper, darker story. Like some music, colorful, imaginative images compel the viewer to look closer where they may find uncomfortable truths.
W. Doodle�s Whimsical Worlds artwork was featured in Boulder, Colorado�s Fringe Festival as well as the Renegade Artists� Festival, Estes Park, CO.� �
The Pikes Peak Library District (Colorado) juried and selected W. Doodle�s work to be displayed in several of their libraries, and was included in The Independents newspapers'� �7 Days to Live� (things to see and do) feature section.��
W. Doodle�s intent is to stimulate the viewer�s imagination to inspire and prompt creativity.� After viewing the work, The Independent�s journalist, Kara Luger, was compelled to create new words, combining �quirky� and �whimsy� as she described Whimsical Doodles as �quimsy� and �quimsical�� a testimony to W. Doodle�s Whimsical Worlds generating their intended affect.
Whimsical Doodle�s Whimsical Worlds are available for licensing to utilize Whimsical World elements for a broad variety of applications as inspirations for stylized �designer� home and office product collections.� W. Doodle�s original commissioned works add a bit of whimsy to a business environment or personal space that say... Lighten Up!!
