Production/Graphic Artist:
My position primarily involves prepress work, mainly packaging, which includes licensed products. My responsibility is to update address and component info and creating barcodes when necessary. During the catalog season, which spans from August to December, the focus is on building the company products catalogs. This involves retouching images, adding clipping paths and redesigning existing page layouts. I am the key person when it comes to outputting the artwork to the printer via FTP. My secondary responsibility is to collect images for vendor requests. Most of the time the images are burned to CD or transmitted by FTP. In some cases images need to be optimized for the web prior to transfer.
Skills
I have an education in Graphic Design with an associate�s degree in Visual Communications. I am experienced in Adobe software, Quark and Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency. I also have experience with package design, working with licensed products and style guides.
I have intermediate skills in web design, with experience working in Flash and Dreamweaver.
I possess advanced skills in illustration with experience using various color mediums. I am skilled with typesetting, photo editing, and color correction.
