Rainbow International - Live Project 2002
•Live project to produce a logo for the charity Rainbow International.
•Design was one of three to be chosen from a group of fifteen.
Pause On The Landing Exhibition - 2005
•Carried out research into the 19th century book, The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy.
•Produced interactive version of a passage from the book allowing the user to create their own story from the original text.
•Piece was chosen to go on sale at an exhibition, taking place at Shandy Hall.
Ne6, Newcastle July 2005 (2 weeks)
•Brainstormed and developed ideas on existing logo design briefs including an accountants and solicitors.
•Worked on a one-day logo design. One of my ideas was sent for consideration by the client.
•Furthered my knowledge of Quark Xpress while creating ideas for a brochure.
Fat Frog, Newcastle August 2005 (2 weeks)
•Worked alongside the designers on a wide variety of briefs including corporate identity, invitation/flyer and t-shirt design, postcard advertising campaign and multimedia design.
•Designed a Flash based website introduction that was included in the pitch to a prospective client. The creative director expressed he was impressed with my multimedia skills throughout my time there.
•Rejected the pportunity to leave after the 1st week amidst concern
they could not offer me the experience they would have preferred due
to major staff changes. I believed the experience I would gain would still be very useful.
Additional Skills
A very good knowledge of Freehand, Photoshop, InDesign and Flash. Working knowledge of Illustrator, Dreamweaver and QuarkXpress.
