Filipe Franco
Was born in Ponta Delgada (1961), Azores, studied drawing, art history and painting at the center of art and visual communication “Ar.Co” in Lisbon, where he also monitored and lectured painting .
Lectured equally at secondary schools and at the “academy of Arts” in Ponta Delgada.
Participated in several collective exhibitions, had several individual exhibitions and developed projects with public intervention such as : Franco.Steggink-gallery, New creators, Periphery at the center.
Represented Portugal at the biennial “Germination 5” , what was held in France, Germany, The Netherlands and Ireland, and is represented in private and public collections.
At this moment he is a consultant for the Maier of the City Hall of Ribeira Grande, Azores.
Filipe Franco lives and works on the Island of São Miguel, Azores - Portugal.
