My aim with this series of images is to create a sort of domestic dream-space in which to explore social and psychological experiences, both real and imagined. The use of a constructed reality gives me a stage on which to play with ideas and explore my interest in storytelling, to create a mood and an open-ended narrative which the viewer can interpret in their own way. Using props and costumes, I hope to create a feeling of lush femininity which although enticing, also hints at something darker and more uncomfortable.
