Profile
I am a conscientious and organised worker, who can adapt to new skills very quickly. I am also able to communicate with people at all levels.
Education
2001 2005 University of Salford Salford
BA (HONS) in Graphic Design: 2nd Class Honours lower class.
The first year focused on exploring and developing my design thinking within Graphic Design.
The second year was more focused on Graphic Design in a professional context. At which point I decided to focus on Advertising and Print Media as my specialised area. Some assignments that I did were Orange Big Numbers campaign, Design Against Fur 2004 campaign and re-designing the web site www.iluvvideo.com.
The third year was more self-directed and allowed me to concentrate on Advertising and Print Media. Some assignments that I did were an anti-cigarette campaign for RSA, an awareness campaign for conserving British invertebrates for D&AD. My dissertation was Defining Masculinity and Masculinity within the Horror Genre, which allowed me to investigate how masculinity is interpreted and portrayed. It gave me perspective within advertising methods and features.
My final assignment was producing an advertising campaign for Chinese New Year 2006 within Manchester Chinatown. I created various posters for Ad Shels and billboard, banners, one off promotional items with a leaflet, a coloured brochure of the event and a web site.
Foundation course in Art and Design: passed with Merit
This allowed me to experience my understanding of all aspects of Art and Design and experimenting with a range of mediums and techniques. Some projects produced were an interactive Blackpool diary and a TV installation on cartoon characters.
It lead me to pursue Graphic Design as my specialist area. For my final assignment I produced creative packaging, which consisted of four boxes that went inside each other, for a mixed C.D that I made. Each box represented a genre, using different photography and techniques.
1999 - 2001 Shena Simon College Manchester

Qee Toy University of Salford Degree Show 2005 Promotion
There was an optional assignment for Qee Toys. They are the latest craze to hit the Urban art scene. They are small, blank canvas figurines and we had the opportunity to put our own designs on them. My design was on Geishas and Manga, which was chosen and I hand painted my design on to one of the figurines. These were then placed around Manchester. Mine was situated in the retail shop The Original Clothing.
