About the artist
Member since the very beginning
I gained a degree in technical illustration. After that I spent many years working as a video games artist, working on all aspects of the game including front end, cars, characters, concept art, environments and special effects. This allowed me to experiment with the latest computer arts packages and I am very efficient with Photoshop, Painter, 3D Studio Max, Alias Power Animator, Maya and Lightwave.
After many years in the games business I decided I wanted to have a go at something a little more creative. In my spare time I had always been building up a portfolio of fashion ideas, caricatures and the sort of chic drawings you see on chick-lit book covers. I also started to illustrate logos for The Fashion Spot, a website dedicated to fashion. I've always been interested in the fashion industry. I took a job as an accessories designer at Karen Millen, which was excellent experience, but in the long run it wasn't my cup of tea. I prefer to illustrate rather than to design. My shoe designs were possibly a little impractical for the average working girl! I had fun, though. Now I'm back in the games business, but still working on fashion drawings for friends when I get the time. I'm always keeping up to date with current fashion trends, taking a look at the the latest fashions in Bond/Sloane Street boutiques whenever I'm in town, as well as buying Vogue.
I'm still hoping to illustrate a few book covers some time in the future, so if you think my work is cool, then give me a shout.
