My name is Brooke Lucy Gill.
I'm a freelancing artist based in Sydney with a knack for illustrations, commissioned paintings, flash animations and character concepts & design.
I am an energetic, creative professional, who takes great pride in her work. I'm self taught and have been drawing since I can remember. I use my imagination for reference, and my style is young and fresh, but at the same time very strong and bold. I love using bright and vibrant colours and creating work that intrigues and inspires.
I had the privilege of working for 3 years at Disneytoons Studio in Australia. I loved every second of it. The experience taught me so much, but mainly, it gave me a professional approach to my artwork and a keen eye for detail. I'm also able to produce high quality work, within scheduled deadlines.
Since the studio's closure I have taken to Flash Animation. Where I can sit on my computer and in one day, I can go from creating quick sketches for a story board, to producing a mini movie, filled with sound and credits.
It's opened my world of computer technology. I can now create websites using Dreamweaver. And fill them with illustrations created in Photoshop and Illustrator CS2.
