ZhouBin, also named Muzhi, was born in Jintan, Jiangsu Province,China,in 1970. He is a member of the Chinese Paper-cutting Association and the Jiangsu Youth Artists Association. In 1990, his five paper-cuts, including Picture of Happy Fish, were displayed in the first annual Jiangsu Art Exhibition and received the award Artistic Works of Excellence. His three masterpieces, Picture of Hundreds Beast, Numerous Birds Pay Respect to the Phoenix and Be Flushed With Success, were collected and retained by Jiangsu Art Museum. In 1993, his two paper-cuts won the prize of Excellent works in the National Modern Paper-cutting Exhibition in Macau. Followed up by the next Zhou Family’s Paper-cutting exhibition shown in Macau again. In 1998 and 2002 his two paper-cuts—Lane & Hit the Polo won the silver and golden prizes successively at the National Modern Paper-cutting Exhibition. His Chinese paintings have adopted modern art ideas into the traditional painting skills, direct and natural, full of great elegance and strong character. In the year 1998, 1999 and 2000, he and his father, Mr. Zhou Yunhua, held their Chinese painting Exhibition at the invitations of Guangdong Art Museum, Shanghai LiuHaisu Art Museum and Changzhou LiuHaisu Art Museum. Furthermore, he has ever shown his family’s paper-cutting exhibition--- Reminiscences of Jiangnan at Beijing Art Exposition and Beijing International Art and Literary Museum. His biography has also been collected by many reference books.
