About the artist
Member since the very beginning
I first studied a BTEC national diploma in Graphic Design and illustration at Barnfield College in Luton. During this time I also studied ‘A’ level Art, and City and Guilds (level 2) desk top publishing.
Following this I studied an HND in illustration at Swindon College of art and Design. This course entailed completing eighteen visual work assignments with textual explanations of the progress that I made in each. For my ‘major’ project I illustrated the song lyrics for the album ‘dummy’, by Portishead. This required using a number of resource materials, such as the Internet and different publications in order to fully appreciate the meaning behind their lyrics.
My Art Work had been selected for exhibition on three occasions. First when I completed the BTEC National Diploma. Barnfield College selected a certain number of students ‘Art Work’ to be exhibited at the ‘Artizum’ in Luton where the members of the public were invited to view our Art Work.
The Second time, I entered a competition for local amateur artists. Although my entry did not win, my work was selected to be viewed in that exhibition. The following year I entered the same competition, and my entry won 2nd prize (using mixed media in the under 25’s category) I again entered in the summer of 2003, and had won 2nd prize in the under 25’s category for my digital art work.
I am currently working for a youth group called EMCC in my local area, and I am creating their art work and promotion. I have painted on large boards and created window displays aswell.
