Getting Better Results with a Jewelry Rotary Tumbler

I've been experimenting with a jewelry rotary tumbler(https://www.jewelerstoolsmall.com/Jewelry-Rotary-Tumbler- 121.html) over the past month, and it's become one of my favorite tools for finishing metal pieces. I mainly use it after filing and sanding, and the results are much more consistent than polishing everything by hand. One thing I learned is that the type of media and the tumbling time make a huge difference. Running the barrel too long can round off fine details. What combinations of media and polishing compounds have worked best for you? I'd love to hear what others recommend for sterling silver.
