Description/Technique: Synesthesia is a condition that causes one to hear colors, see sounds, and possibly associate or mix all sensory mechanisms. Certain hallucinogenic substances can cause this perceptual reinterpretation as well as certain poisons or brain conditions. In this piece, I attempt to depict a kind of building, rising action. In many great musical pieces, whether they be modern or classical, there is a rising action in the intensity of the rhythm or the volume of a refrain. Each musical note or portion of a musical piece is shown as a rising tower of form and style. Colors represent varieties of instruments and shapes the pitches and tones. In some places in this piece, music is an expanding sphere of sound while in others it is pointing or flowing.
