Painting is my passion! I started creating when I was a little girl and ever since, painting has been at the core of my existence. It is always a thrilling to experience the moment a painting takes on a life of its own and to see where it takes me.
I am an experimental artist whose passion lies in creating colourful paintings which at the same time present the tension between surface, paint, and illusion.
Every day, I learn something new from my art, and I hope always will.
My work is influenced by mood as well as the sights and sounds around me. I work with many mediums and materials, which I often combine by layering colours and shapes in order to create intricacies and dimension to my work.
Everything I create derives from inspiration based on my own ideas and experiences but it is the viewers who complete the cycle by interpreting the colours, shapes and form in their own particular way.
I also find when I look at a finished piece, I have nearly always hidden something in the picture, most times this is purely coincidental, be it a face or an icon, and somehow it always relates to my mood or feeling within the painting.
I have work in private and corporate collections all over the world, and have exhibited in the U.K, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland and America, I also plan to hold an exhibition later in the year in Spain.
Art is a perspective, mine yours and anyone who enjoys it will take some form of feeling from it. This is my motivation to create.
