Great use of one color design - will transfer well in many different media. I feel the logo overall is a little off balanced as all I seem to focus on is the 8 and forget the rest and I am not sure that is intentional.

Yes Joni - I also like the font design style and colour use. Both the V or is it a tick ? and the italic 8 stand out for me. I think it gives a feeling of movement.
