The complimentary color scheme draws me to the image. The human figures definitely read as worker ants due to the reduction of a black sillouhette. I then start to investigate the falling figures from the deceptive stairwell in the foreground. On further investigation I see that the figures in the background have fallen, gotten up, and proceeded to the next stairwell. Blind faith? Ignorance is bliss? Following the crowd? A path to nowhere? Perhaps they are just enjoying the ride. Great compostition! Great image!
