“I am an Artist and Designer and I am interested in donating all the money I get from selling this picture "The last Tsunami 2004" that I made right after the catastrophe, because I didn’t have any money then I decided to make this my contribution. The painting is made with thoughts of my friend witch lives in Phuket that I haven’t heard from since the catastrophe. Here are some of my thoughts that I had in the process of making the painting: The painting takes your thoughts toward a big wave, where the braking of the wave makes a shape of a hart around the fragile houses. The waves blue, green and white is in complementary colours to the houses witch are in read, orange and yellow colours. I have done this to make a kind of contrast. The painting also have to be nice to look at in the long run, I have therefore avoided scary scenes, but in stead tried to make a painting where the force of the nature is shown. The painting also contains other pictures but these are up to the spectator to find. Best regards Søren Momsen ”
