So what is your favorite pub drink? I'd like some Guinness, or maybe some New Castle. If I don't have to worry about falling asleep, then I love to have some Merlot. Ahh the choices! Posted by Keri Mills

Well, in the virtual you only have the beer or wine that is at home. Bummer, I am out. So off I go... to the store. I just don't hang out at the pub much anymore. Hmm, someone needs to put some WiFi in a good pub here in Arvada, then maybe I would hang out again. You know get a little work done, have a few sips.

Right now my favorite work hang out is a coffee shop or Panera Bread -kind of a sandwich pub but with yummy a green ice tea, no beer. See why the virtual one is the better choice.

Re: artist's projects/ activities - Keri Mills

I know this plays to my bias but I like the added music to the soundtrack. I found this video the most interesting visually as well. Maybe it is because of the humanity inserted into the images, maybe it is the combination of the added music, human photos and the voice. It is more poetic. I think you are improving and growing in your style! Posted by Keri Mills

Hi there! Yes I did see that in the count down. And it was interesting to see still life used in a video. My artistic preference is just for people, I just seem to gravitate towards the figure. Also, I did get a "white noise" feel to the sound, so you were successful in achieving that! I will be interested to see and hear the new piece you are working on. Keep me posted! =') Posted by Keri Mills

Thanks Terry. I went to look at your work to reintroduce myself to it. I really like the Young Man portrait, as the texture of his skin reminds me of Degas. I am glad to be back and active with art and other artists. There is no better job than that of an artist. Posted by Keri Mills

Re: human content and soundtrack... - Clay Bodvin

Hi Keri - is always good to have some outside point of view...! - in a way the comment about more variation refers to my intention to produce a background 'noise' that was also a continuum...

sort of like a Las Vegas resort 'white noise' but whith individual elements...

coincidentally, though, a new piece being worked on now does exhibit more pace and highs and lows of 'color' as it were...

you see I'm not a musician - ie, not making music but am just 'painting' with sound...

anyway, thanks for the interest and the effort made to talk...

also, the first one - 'de Visible as...' - does have some human in the couting-down panels..just harder to see...

cheers - Clay Posted by Clay Bodvin

Re: artist's projects/ activities - Keri Mills

So I checked out the video's and I found the second one more interesting. Maybe because it had pics of people in it and I like the human figure to work with as well. I found the change in colors interesting, but would prefer a little more variation in the sound track (though I really liked some of the components you used to make the sound track). Anyway, just thought you might like some feedback on the work. =') Posted by Keri Mills

Went into Business - Keri Mills

Hello everyone! I have been off for wuite awhile. I lost my job a few years back. After working in Barnes and Noble for a couple of years and cleaning houses part-time, I finally decided to do it. I am putting my hard earned degree to use, by going into business for myself. I am now a photographer/artist for hire. Working for myself!!! Yeah! So when I am not shooting for a client, I am working on my art. It is so exciting.

I am so thankful to voodooChilli for all your support and encouragement! Thanks also to Harry O'Connor as you inspired me with this site and many posts on this forum.

For all new artists go for it! Keep working, never stop trying. When the hard times come, roll with the punches, get back up and try again. There is no success without failure! Posted by Keri Mills
