Description/Technique: Nastia Lisovs'ka was captured by the Tatars as a 15 year-old Ukrainian girl and was sold to harem of Suleiman the Magnificent (c.1494-1566) - sultan of the Ottoman Empire.. She was very beautiful and smart. Imperor married her. Nastia became known as Roxolana. She ruled the Country for 40 years. Because of her, the Turkish, Mongols and Tatars stopped terrorizing Slavic nations. Stoneware, Salts, Glazes. Each plaque is 24"x24".
