Curriculum Vitae of Ronald Hall Ron
I use art as a means of conveying my feelings about life. My paintings exemplify the emdodiment of personal experiences and the world
acknowledged. I grew up in a high crime and drug infested neighborhood of which I believe has had a profound impact on most of the images that I create.

I beleive that as an artist, we are continuously and visually seduced by the society that we live in. Movies, television, the media, or the internet can be very influential when I create an image.

Each painting starts off as an initial idea and then, in most cases, changes as it progresses. For most of the paintings, the computer plays an important role in the development process as far as color and or composition. The images used for the collages come from various sources such as african american historical books, newspapers, the internet or photos taken by myself.

“This is the world as it is now... a sign of the times? A global wake-up call will come and disturb any apethetic slumber!”
Nyanda Yekwai

Art thumbnail of Irrational Breakdown
“This image is quietly disturbing. It captures everything with a split-second style... I can't say I like it, but it has provoked a response.. What if...? I wouldn't like to be in either situation or this painting. Good work!”
Nyanda Yekwai

“love your dramatic use of colour and the onamattapaia (spelling?) of shape from background to foreground. Message comes through loud and clear, good work. Would think that those 2 paintings in the b'ground would make excellent pictures in their own right...”
Mitchell Foley
