Working between New York and Paris, Richard T Scott is known for his contemporary figurative paintings. His work has been compared to the New Old Masters, the movement given name by the eminent art historian and critic Donald Kuspit.


His work is part of important collections around the world such as the Austrian Embassy and Dr. Richard Epes, and has been auctioned at Sotheby's and Phillips de Pury & Co along side the works of John Currin, Eric Fischl and Jamie Wyeth.


Richard holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from The New York Academy of Art, renowned for its synthesis of the classical tradition of figurative art and contemporary art theory. He has worked as a studio assistant to Jeff Koons and has studied in residency with Odd Nerdrum.


He is a co-founder of the collaborative art publication Art Babel.
