Comments for Red Jet
Lazy, Bored & Hungry. This is a portrait of my 19 y.o son Jet. Seems like the Cocaine series is over as these portraits are really starting to crack in. Jet was photographed and photoshoped for hours and hours to get the achromatic image which I then painted onto a dramatic red background. The technique for the b'ground is to copiously splash hot water onto dark red oil wash coat over lighter red dry coat. I call this technique Gordon, 'cause it reminds me of cheese. gorgonzola cheese, but then you wouldn't call a technique gorgon, would you?
