My Sample Artwork
I am an artist living in \\\"The Football Hall of Fame\\\" town of Canton, OH.
I went to Kent State University for a while to study fine arts and journalism, but since I had a professor try to stab me in the eye I have yet to go back.
Anyway, before I even started at good ol\\\' KSU I taught myself how to work with glass. That was about 15 years ago from now. I kinda\\\' learned working with glass backwards. I started with cold working, and then went on in 2001 to pursue a degree in fine arts at KSU. I have done many art shows and events here in N.E. Ohio, and became know as \\\"The Glass Carver\\\" because of my glass working technique. In specific I work with glass bottles. Even though I went through the process of learning to blow glass, I find what I started out with is what I enjoy doing the most.
I have been criticized as doing nothing more than a craft, as well as being hailed for creating fine arts. I say beauty is in the mind of those who look for it. What I found myself doing is something I have yet to see others do around here. I am a \\\"Glass Carver, like people carve wood, I carve glass.\\\" That\\\'s what I say to the masses.
I utilized the cold working process in a way that is very unique and solitary. After that I apply many layers of paints and other media to give the work some definition. I am currently signing all of my works under the name \\\"PACH ATOMZ\\\". I\\\'ve also signed them under my own initials (E.F.), and also L.H.F., which stands for \\\"Local Heroes Foundation\\\". I was getting so many blessings and praises about the inspiration of my art, I felt that I could help change the local art scene; but I guess being a black artist here and it\\\'s mostly harsh realities is a lesson I’m still learning. So half the time I end up focusing on my other creativeness which is music. That is a whole other story. LOL!
So now I am back into doing my \\\"Glass Carvings\\\" and getting back into doing more shows. I was recently posted on JUXTAPOZ.COM as a featured artist, and you can see updated photos of my work on Flickr.com.
I hope you enjoy them.

“Wicked board. Check out mine. I haven't made any pieces yet, but I think it'll inspire you for your next one. Chessboards don't have to be flat...”
Wendy Ready
“for me this is so beach like and it's look is all about at ease in a sense...i don't know yet how to describe it. But I really do love it! ”
