Description/Technique: I made this work a number of my old photos from mountain trips and added some black silhouettes painted. Photoshop was used extensively :) Inspiration came from talking to my friend. She just got commission to paint an inside of motorcycle shop and returned with a story how some bikers attached themselves with chain to their machines. In case of an accident, they prefer to die there and then rather than suffer in agony. And then we talked about my repeating tours through Tatra Mountains. Any person under “mountain spell”, knows that first incautious step may be the last one… Climbing ever higher tempts persons luck. It’s not that much a different story from what my friend told me about motorcycles. It made me remember a line from one movie: “high into the mountains take me”. In a film, mountains offered some kind of freedom, although possibly a dangerous one.
