Artist Comments

“Hey dude, thanks! Digging your stuff too! Iain.”
Iain Reid

“Hey, nice work. I like creative use of type. If you aren't already aware of him, check out Rick Griffin's work from the 60's. A lot of rock show posters for the Fillmore. Very creative typography. Some of your work reminds me of some of the very good work from that era.”
Keith Browning

“Gee Thanks Luther. Your design layout looks beautiful as well. Very Art Nouveau. I love your exploration in various typefaces.”
Van Chin SeiJu/ Chen ShiShu

“Thanks Luther for your comments!! All those Hoodies/T-shirts are from past seasons... am not sure if they're still selling anywhere. I love your designs so much. Talk about layout, typography, colors, contrast, compositions... everything shows excellence... it's just beautiful!!”
Deepti Vij

“I thought that you were inspired by Victor M. and some of the other work from that period. I hate to see the passing of a style and it excites me to see you doing this work. I tried to get a band recently to use some flyers that I designed in Griffin's style and they said it looked too "60's" and was hard to read. Oh, well, you just can't dictate taste. But keep it up, I love it. Oh, yeah, if you don't already have it there's a great book on the art of the Fillmore on amazon.com. It has quality prints of all the posters.”
Keith Browning

“love this style of yours! interesting fonts! image is alive and that's what's cool about it! nice stuff!”

“I love the illustration, but I think for it to truly work as a poster the type needs to stand out more.”
