I was born in the small town of Angus, Ontario, Canada to a family of 2 girls and 5 boys  in 1959,parents were Leeland McCulligh and Helen (Brownlie)McCulligh.My father died in 1960 when I was barely 2 leaving my mother to raise us alone.The love of Art began at very early age,almost from the time I could first pick up a pencil.Of all the subjects in school the arts were where I felt most comfortable and I tried many art mediums.At one time I tried stage acting but I had too soft a voice and was never heard over the noise on stage.

In the mid 1970's I moved to Vancouver British Columiba and then to Edmonton Alberta where I met My husband Harry.He was in the Canadian Armed Forces and we spent the next 20 years travelling across this country.After our 3 childern were born I had no time to devote to my art and put it aside for 30 years.

I decided afew years ago to get back in to my art and it was like finding a old friend.With brush in hand I first started a little home studio and daughter Arrin was decovering her own talent at the sametime.Now we have opened a small gallery in our hometown of Stayner Ontario.

Stayner is just afew minutes from my childhood home of Angus so I have come full circle almost. Both of my parents are gone now never seeing where my talent has led me, but I think they would be proud.
