Talk about anything that pops into your mind in here, over a nice cold beverage(or hot, if you prefer). Sports(American and everyone else, lol), work or play. Anything but art. And keep it civil, folks, or Marcus, that 300 lb. gent standing by the door will have to ask you to leave. Have fun.

aww, poor little kitty!
when my tomcat was a kitten he used to curl up on my boot (while I was wearing it!) and go to sleep balanced on the toe. Because I am such a sap I would be stuck there for hours at a time; couldn't bring myself to move him when he looked so comfy!

ruled by a little scrap of fluff!

Well at least shes ok. She's itching to get outside but she will have to wait. I showed her the cellar instead. She came out an hour later completely covered in cobwebs. Funny little thing.

Cats, trecherous little beasts, I'll take fish, thank you.

Very Funny Antony that was quick of the mark...

I like both I have Aquarium inside and lily pond with fish outside......but I lost my dear old cat in the spring of this year; I am just trying to decide whether to take in a kitten...or not

Well we had a cat called Oscar a couple of years ago. I loved that cat like no other, and was devastated when we got a phone call saying he was run over. Was 2 days before Christmas too. Anyway, the way I see it is if you can give an animal a good life rather than being put in a cat home/put down or worst, being placed in a bad home, then I think you are doing it a favor.

It surprised me how much my new cat Missy looks like Oscar, but they are so different in personality. Oscar's life was short but very happy I'm sure, and I hope Missy will also have a happy, and hopefully longer life.

If you are a cat person, then how could you not get a kitten?!

"If you are a cat person, then how could you not get a kitten?!" - Harry

If someone else in the house is allergic, a pet dog who thinks cats are just snacks with legs, or the responsibility is too much, then a 'cat person' should not get a kitten. Lots of reasons why not.

Well one of the reasons is I hoping to do a bit of travelling in the near future; If the 'Quacks' (docs.) will give me the OK...After all the tests I am having at the moment....

So then, it would mean I would have to farm the kitten out to a friend which seems a bit pointless

Too bad I can't try it out, as I have nothing to quote at the moment! Sure saves time backtracking thru threads.

Sorry, been busy the past few days. Diet Dew is Diet Mountain Dew, a soda pop (which I alternate with bottled spring water). It is a necessary evil in my life because I work graveyard shifts and need something to keep me awake.

In actuality I hate diet sodas, but if I drink the regular kind , well lets just say I cannot afford the extra 300-600 calories that I would consume (as I drink 2-4 pops a night when at work). So far Diet Mountain Dew and Diet Dr. Pepper are the only diet drinks I have found that I can tolerate. Coffee or black tea is an alternative, but they often give me headaches.

So here I am with my diet dew, staying awake, crunching numbers. Ugh!, As an artist, I really hate doing math (even if I am good enough at it), in the middle of the night no less!

Sorry, it took awhile to get back to you. When I am posting it is usually at the beginning of my shift (when everyone else is sleeping (except maybe Frank), or then in the morning right before anyone gets up. So I will normally respond the next day. This week, however, I had sleep issues and was pretty much the walking dead while being very busy at work.

As for cats. Ooooh, I love them. But finally have given them up after my last one went missing. I am one of those allergic people, and getting used to a new cat is so hard. My asthma just cant take it anymore. I guess am getting too old. Somy old dog just pretends to be my cat now. He lazes around until the mood strikes him and then he pops up to play, getting frisky and goofy.

I'm starting to get into the forum and site designing game, if anyone would like to take a look.

Alfred Hitchcock at FilmWorx

I got the idea, after seeing sites offering free forums and websites. These seemed like a good way to establish a portfolio of webdesigns. I tried to use templates as little as possible. It's kind of a fun diversion, too, and I get to play administrator. lol

Not much going on in here! So tired tonight...not even the caffeine with sugar is working. I think sometimes do-overs are necessary. I think I would like to just go back to sleep, wake up again, hopefully in a much better mood.

Yes, do-overs! One of man's best inventions. (If you can really call such a thing an invention.)

Weirdness... just a random thought..

OK, it flew out of my mind before I could even type it. :(

Aaaand, it doesn't seem to be coming back.

Here's to getting old and losing your mind, or at least the losing your mind part!

Cool! An Alfred Hitchcock buff hey?

My only criticism is i've never been keen on static backgounds with moveable content. Its probably just a personal thing but it makes me feel dizzy odly enough!

I don't know much about Hitchcock so I'll have to have a deeper look later.

You don't have to be an expert. Most of that technical stuff that cineasts get into, is a complete bore to me. "Jim Frankenfurter, second soldier to the right, in Patton finale. You know?!!" Twits. I like people who come in and just express their opinions of what they saw, and leave the nuts and bolts out. With an emphasis on fun.

Phew what a day...

Got a nice cool beer now, even poured it into a pint glass.

By the way, I've just finished making some extras to the metapig site, including a favicon generator. Don't know if anyone needs some favicons (if you know what they are?) http://favicon.metapig.com/
Its funny but I like making things like that - purely technical, in some ways less taxing than design stuff.

Also I've Ive changed my icon in the forum, I quite like it. Smile

Beer is calling!
