Talk about anything that pops into your mind in here, over a nice cold beverage(or hot, if you prefer). Sports(American and everyone else, lol), work or play. Anything but art. And keep it civil, folks, or Marcus, that 300 lb. gent standing by the door will have to ask you to leave. Have fun.

Think I'll have a cold one. Am on the brink of revamping my page, but I'm almost afraid to. Last time, I had a lot of trouble with the codes sticking.

That will lead anyone to the drink! Though after a few dozen bottles, the task will become easier... until sobber again when the mess will be a sobering site... enough to lead one to drink.

I gave up on using front end editors for HTML as they really were pretty bad many years ago (that was before CSS and XTML were popular). Just hand coded the pages with a regular text editor. Never tried them again...

the weather has been great here as well georgia and you're right it makes it hard to stay indoors long enough to do even the "billable" work.
glad you like the blog thing, it's a fun little bit of business. if you like i'll add your e-mail to the weekly sunday mailing.
cheers.

Yeah do that Art, better than reading the Sunday papers, all full of doom and gloom.......
I cancelled all papers, even the locals now, if I want to catch up locally I can go online and find out what I want; to read about.

I only managed to read the hatched and dispatched pages anyway; which gets depressing, and makes me feel my age.Dont need that grief yuck!!!

The Fifth estate is not what it once was. Thanks Geraldo Rivera. Thanks Rupert Murdoch. Welcome to the disinformation age, where we get all our truths from the Wikipedia.

News ain't news unless you can sell it.

I need more drink. I'm starting to sober up, and it's not February.

February is my month to play sober because it has the fewest days in it... Even when it's loaded with leap days, it's still a short month.

"News ain't news unless you can sell it."- Anthony Burt

The price of a newspaper should never be truth and integrity.

I watch the BBC news, because American news is so full of BS. The BBC may be giving out hogwash too, but at least the anchor isn't doing cartwheels and giving me American Idol updates.

Infotainment news is neither informative or entertaining to me. It just helps promote the Dumb and Dumber Age we seem to be living in(wont that look good on chronological historical charts in 2000 years)

Even radio announcers are talking about 'reality' shows as if all the listeners were hooked and needed a fix. Urgh!

Sadly, infotainment sells more than real information...

It seems that while gossip used to be delegated to a column in the paper, it's now information that's delegated to a column...

Where did you dig that comment up from?

I know what you mean though. The problem is I can also delete other peoples comments, and in fact the whole website. Forgive me, but I'm not handing that out to 7,000 people. Saying that, if ever you want something deleted you can always email me and I will take care of it pretty swiftly.

Bottom of page one of this thread lol. Oh, that whiskey. I've almost made that mistake sober a few times. The threads default to the 1st page, rather than the last, if you hit the title.

Yea, this is the only forum I'm active on, that doesn't have edit, delete or report buttons, signatures or offsite pic uploads. Too bad the site nuke button can't be separated from those features. Hope I don't accidentally post my credit card no. while you're on vacation.
