Talk about anything that pops into your mind in here, over a nice cold beverage(or hot, if you prefer). Sports(American and everyone else, lol), work or play. Anything but art. And keep it civil, folks, or Marcus, that 300 lb. gent standing by the door will have to ask you to leave. Have fun.

I dont fancy coffee with beer, in the same receptical either....a very weird combination...

I shouldn't think it looks too good either...but as Barb says it would be an unusual picture.

Turkish coffee is sort of like espresso, powerful and lots of grounds in the little demitasse cup. The beer is a chaser. Not to be mixed at all... I used to long time ago, go into a little Lebanese shop and have a salad, falafel and coffee. Sometimes a beer too to wash it all down. Excellent meal. Sadly never found another place that made the meals as good...

That does not sound quite so bad....

If we are talking chasers my favourite is gotta be shot of Tequila lemon and salt...drink.. shoot.. the tequila down in one, dip wedge of lemon in salt and chew....

This is then washed down with your favourite pint... mine being a pint of Stella Artois.

wicked after a couple of these make sure you have a friend to get ya home

It has been such a fantastic sunny day today I feel Pimms is appropriate, in the garden I feel.

It's hotter'n a witches teat here in Orlando. When it's hot out I have ice water! That is unless I go inside then a nice wheat beer will do!

Yea, it's like 95 at midnight, down here in Miami. This is gonna be a bad summer. With gas and food prices and jobs the way they are, wouldn't surprise me if we have riots.

Is it Really that hot...surely with temperatures like that who's got the energy to riot...

But I do agree about prices we're having real trouble in old blighty too...fuel prices is a major prob at moment the petrol has already reached record prices with threats of more increases for June....with the knocj effect to everything that has to be transported...

It's getting so that alcohol is the only thing you can afford. People are losing their homes and jobs, the ones who are still working, seem to be doing so to support their cars. people go to the store to window shop. If Bush had any sense(and class), he'd resign his post, and this would all come to an end. But that's(unfortunately) probably not going to be the case.

I dont think its just Bush ...I feel its the economic climate and its spreading fast...

as for drink ours has all just shot up because of the whiplash from the budget in March..

The stores put it up straight away ,the decent local pubs waited a while but its all gone up now and food ,

It's worse here as a tourist county because everything goes up when the emmets start to arrive.....

and of course the prices dont go down when the tourists go home...

We locals are left with the increases, and no work to pay for them ; because tourism is one of our main industries.
