Talk about anything that pops into your mind in here, over a nice cold beverage(or hot, if you prefer). Sports(American and everyone else, lol), work or play. Anything but art. And keep it civil, folks, or Marcus, that 300 lb. gent standing by the door will have to ask you to leave. Have fun.

Scarf? You mean the moray eel? It's tough to see everything in that picture, it's a very hard painting to photograph, being over 8 feet long with a glazed finish. If I photograph it in sunlight, the glare obliterates the picture. If I shoot it indoors, I have to shoot it in sections and photoshop it together(and I still get glare). It is a painting I made before I owned a digital camera. If I'd shot it before the patina went on, there wouldn't be that much problem. Unfortunately, I don't own a Time Machine(if I did, I'd spend more time at the horse track than the easel). Smile

When I saw the sign on the doors saying the bar was closed and to pardon our dust, I was a bit worried. Thank heavens the place is back open. The renovations didn't change the place much, but the service is faster. I guess it must be the younger bar-maids.

Needless to say today is Friday and what a brilliant start to the weekend,
The sun is shining and everything is looking rosy in the garden.

Oh bye the way nice to meet Art and Franklin at that other venue....
kept me sane this week while this bar has been closed...
Also such an inspiration to get out and do some filming which I have been neglecting over the past winter months.

Cheers boys this round is on me Cheers!!

the bar was closed? i must've passed out between rounds. . .

7:45 am here and i'm wondering how to make the best of friday. i've got a bit of work to do but at a captain's meeting for a regatta tomorrow (15 sunfish competing) we figured the winds will be blowing at 25 knots, (pretty quick for little boats) so i'm thinkin' i ought to be re-thinking my rigging and get out practicing.

there's something i heard about digital cameras and salt water not mixing well so, sorry georgia, no pictures but it's good to see you out there on the blog too.

good morning harry. all things considered, backslashes are/were a small thing. the site is working great. thanks for the excellent job on it.

I reiterate with Art
Harry the bulk of the site is ruuning quicker than ever and looking very good.
And those little problems are something you are quite capable of handling, I am sure.
So dont stress it will all level itself out.

What's a backslash?

I've been keeping in practice with real beer while the pub's been down. Not quite as crisp and refreshing as virtual beer, but the following mornings are always interesting. Has it been exceptionally quiet on the net, or is it just me? I'm starting to feel like the Omega Man lately. Somebody famous must have died.

Joseph the backslash was intergrating itself into the threads when uploaded, I think...... but Harry's fixed it now.

He has also managed to cure a few other problamatic hiccups, I dont know what medicine he takes....I could do with some myself, Haa

I guess I wasn't paying attention to the little bugaroos. I do notice(and greatly appreciate) the speed around here, tho. Now if I can get a few other sites to follow suit.

Yes it is a treat whizzing around the site I can work and play at the same time now.
Good stuff

Yes its a lot quicker - I just wish I could work out what is stopping the new threads. I have asked one of my coders to have a look when he can.
