Do you have idea that would improve Voodoochilli? If so, this is the place to discuss it.

I agree - would be good to be able to hit a 'reply' button...

I think it would be a great idea. There are somethings you would rather say or ask privately and not everyone has an email available to do so.

I don't know if it is the same on other people's computers, but all of the thumbnails are compressed more from one direction and difficult to see. It would be nice if the thumbnails were just smaller versions of the image with the same proportions.

Its not like that on mine! We thought about making the thumbnails just smaller versions, but in the end decided to keep them square. The faves images are like that though.

it would be nice to be able to see random images that have been posted years ago rather than just the ones recently added.

it was a bit of a give away in the title.... but what about animations?

how about having a page collecting together (or linking to) all of the on-line art compotitions on the web. it's extremely hard to find 1 when you're looking for 1 (unless you know where to look). this is my third suggestion in 15 minutes but i feel his 1 would benefit everyone the most.

We have thought about this before. the only problem is the site could turn into a flash frenzy, not really the sort of thing we want the site to be.

There are already many good animation sites out there.

Yes we sort of do this, but I guess a new page just for competitions would be a good idea. I will look into that soon, thanks.

We post them on the news items, on the home page. Have a look through the archive by clicking the previous news buttons. We just post them when we are notified, so I guess having a seperate page might encourage people to send in news of new competitions.

a seperate page would be fantasic...... you can see an archive of compotitions and even look into past ones. it could be good for inspiring people's next piece even if they don't want to apply.

how about if when you select an image as a favourite- you answer a handful of short questions about why. The person who created it can see what they did right and keep it in mind next time they create something. it would be more for a "feel good" factor than anything else, but at least i will know why it was successful.

it's always nice for new artists to be given advice about what work to display on their page. for many people this is their main site that they advertise to potential employers. maybe when you regiser an account there should be some key points on what you might want to include for your desired career. more experienced artists could choose to ignore this obviously.

When you click on Forum Home, it is now not possible to see if someone has posted today. It only shows the original poster. It used to show up which was handy and avoided the need to have to look at every thread.

People can only vote for what makes sense to them, regardless of what an individual may think regarding talent, composition etc.. and the thing is personal taste does come into it. I haven't bothered looging on to Voodoochilli for a while not because I don't think it's any good but i've
become slightly addicted to Redbubble. I would seriously advise having a good look at that format because the way it is set up really encourages people to browse, favourite, comment and become part of an arts community.
Cheers.
p.s. the only reason I have come onto Voodoochilli is because I received an email, that should tell you something. It's not a criticism but a warning about the need to keep up.
