We did have a plan a while back to build a communication system. So people in voodoochilli could send messages to each other privately, and sort of build a friends list. I guess it’s jumping on the social networking band wagon, and I am not sure how useful this would be.

Could it be possible to see who votes for your pics? That way you could reciprocate.

Might it be a good idea to have the name of the person posting the thread next to the subject? That way, if the subject stays the same, you would know if someone had replied to your last thread instead of having to look at them again.

I am not sure about that as what if you wanted to give an image a low vote?

I have started working on some blog pages, so that people can write thier own blog on voodoochilli. I am doing it more for fun at the moment than anything. Would anyone actually use a blog?

If people just voted on the quality of the art, composition and talent, rather than subject or personal taste, I think that it could be helpful, alongside any comments. I personally invite ANY critique.

I have a website so people can contact me privately anyway. Of course not everyone has a website.

on offense, but i liked the forum the way it was before. it was easier to get around, and everybody's voices were heard instead of just picking who we want to hear. just a thought

It's not a question of that, it was simply that when you came back to the threads later, you didn't know which one was your last one, so you had to trawl through them to find out. This way you can see the last thread you posted and pick up from there.

When you click on an artwork link, ie mixed media, the images always come up in the same order. To give everyone a chance of getting on the front page, could these come up randomly?

Good suggestion. I have been working on this, its not random but the most recent instead.

That would be good. What about also bringing up pics of images that have been commented upon?

My suggestion is to expand the random image function into a random image generator. But perhaps this would defeat the pepper seniority system? Others have already commented on this forum that they most often investigate the artwork/artist displayed on the home page. The site administrators seem to use the tag and image searches, but when I browse, I almost never have a specific category in mind. Its not very often that I decide I want to look at 'wing' or 'man' art. I also don't often use the tags because they are only as accurate as people entering criteria into their images' keyword banks.
