(1150) What's this?Well, Georgia, I don't know much
about time, but I know about the
seasons of the year here in
Florida. We have 2,
Fawing(Fall/Winter/Spring) which
lasts 2, sometimes 3 days, and the
temperature can dip to a
teeth-chattering 45 degrees. People
here actually wear jackets and
sweaters for it(I own neither).
Then we have Summer, which takes up
the rest of the year. Summer is
divided into 3 parts. The first is
the "Sure is starting to get hot!"
early Summer. Then there's the
"Man, it's hotter than Hell"
mid-Summer and, finally, the
"Mommy, I'm gonna die!!!!!!" late-
Summer.
Global warming. What's that?

(1150) What's this?Yea, the only upside is nobody is found frozen to death in a snowbank.

(11) What's this?Virginia's weather is more
creative. It can be 30 degrees one
day and then 80 the next. I've seen
it snow while the sun is shining.
It's sort of like living in a
gigantic snowglobe that someone
randomly shakes up from time to
time. I can't think of anywhere
more lovely in the fall, though.

(1150) What's this?On a totally unrelated note, I got a straight razor the other day, and Man! what a shave. I don't think my face has felt this smooth since I was 6 years old. And the element of danger will really wake you up in the morning. I'm hooked. The old ways are the best ways.

(537) What's this?Yeah straight razors give the best
shave. Actually quite amazing
considering all the BS the
marketing people try to feed you
about three blades doing the best
job. One really sharp straight
razor works fine and you don't have
to buy $20 replacement blades every
month.

(1150) What's this?I was buying those cheapie throwaways for years, 'cause they were about a buck a pack. But now they're like $3. An hour after I shaved, it felt like I had to do it again. In any other climate, it wouldn't be that big a deal, but in Florida heat, it feels like I have a dead raccoon pasted to my face. Gas prices keep going up, I may get a horse, too. lol

(537) What's this?Heh! Well if gas goes up too much more we all may end up with horses. I freelance at a company which ends up taking me for about 60 miles round trip to go in and work there. Ouch. Most of the first hour pays for the gas.

(1150) What's this?I never understand that about
Florida. Back in New Orleans, all
my work seemed to be 10 - 15
minutes from where I lived, but
here, every job is 45 minutes to an
hour away(one-way). I give away 2
hours of my life a day, every time
I work here. I even worked for a
jerk up in Sarasota who scheduled
us as far as possible away from
home - on purpose.
Bosses here act like pure sadists.

(1150) What's this?Wow, it's like we had a nuclear war, and I'm the only one who survived. Nobody has posted in the forum in two days. You guys really take your Easter seriously!
