Getting there is the real secret, I have a friend that lived only a few miles down the road so she always tags along to be my human tomtom! And with her selling to the public for the first she will be there this year. The other thing is make sure there are two of you, you do get a few dogey people around.

Great news kids!!! You can make big money with your art. Actually enough to pay the bills for a change. You might even have enough left over to buy that new xbox 360 or PS3! You just have to be dead.

Check out these nifty items that were appraised on Antiques Road Show. Some are pretty nifty like the Geppetto from the Disney Movie.

There is al little of everything here. Painting, sculpture, jewelry, glass.

Paintings valued at more than £80m were stolen from a Zurich museum by three armed men with masks. The FBI estimates that the stolen art market rakes in about $6 billion annually? Who the heck buys this stuff? Paintings by Cezanne, Degas, van Gogh and Monet were stolen. You can read he full story by following the link below.

Two have been recovered now but 2 still missing.
It makes you think who would promote this sort of thing, why, and what wherewithall you need to it?

Open to any emerging professional Canadian painter, the RBC Painting Competition for 2008 is accepting entries. Entries must be submitted by May 02, so time is getting short. With a first prize of $25,000, it is well worth entering.

Judging by last years winner, almost anything has a shot of getting first place...

there's a tech art installation that will be set up in Liverpool, Williamson Square, 3-5.05.
I saw some vids on youtube, then started reading about it, finally saw it in Edinburgh. The installation is a large dome, surrounded with cameras, taking panoramic pictures every minute. The interesting part is, the pictures can all be viewed either from the website, or from inside the dome - on the screens. And here's the thing: the screens react on the viewer. The closer one stands to the screen, the farther the memory recedes.

It's quite cool, you can take a step out of the night into sunrise, and basically you see what was on the other side of the wall, just back in time.

here's the youtube vid: http://www.youtube.c om/watch?v=W4WZdLGDtbA

I'm doing another show this weekend 12/13th of July. Its the wadhurst scarecrow festival. Have do it before so this is a trial run. But I read about this festival 2 years ago and the whole village is covered with scarecrows and with it the usual village fate stalls etc.

Just a reminder that the Urban art fair is this weekend, 19-20 July. I will be displaying on the 20th, Sunday. This is the biggest gig I do per year, both in amount of display space and the amount of artists that show there. ww w.urbanart.co.uk
