No problem Harry, i did well at the event, sold ny first painting There is another event i will be at, its art on the common, southborough common, southborough, Tunbridge wells. They are alway asking for the event notices, and i am will to except any come back if there are problems. It on over the whole of the bank holiday weekend and is a free event with free parking!

A friend and I began a collaborative artist blog entitled Art Babel where artists can participate in an interactive discussion on themes in art, art reviews, quotes, images, etc.... Guests can also discuss their work or share it for critique.

It's a great way to meet even more artists and share ideas with the ability to post video, images, and sound.

wow. that's pretty good. though i have to ask what you feel is going to be different between Art Babel and all the other art forum sites. i only ask because i'm interested in what you have planned. i'll keep checking it out because it looks really interesting (if a lot more serious looking than other on-line communities)

That's an excellent question.

I think the forum depends upon the people involved. And that's what I think is different. Most of the participating artists have masters degrees and are very serious about art and making an impact on the world. (I know the masters degree doesn't prove anything, but it's a start). But the main criteria for being invited to join the community is demonstrated dedication to the arts and a willingness to discuss difficult topics, which I don't see too often.

This may be old news but there is a site that will sell prints of your artwork for you. I know Ilan is on it. I have a free account and you don't make much that way but they have premium accounts also. With the premium account I think you can set your price and get a bigger share. Also, be sure to look at the terms of agreement about their rights as far as use of your artwork is concerned. It seemed a bit liberal to me. I studied it until my head hurt and finally gave in. The website is at ht tp://www.deviantart.com. There is some very good work there.

this may be a little late to do anything about it.... but how about adding a cartoon/joke section option. i have seen a nice number of artists who illustrate cards or jokes, it would be nice to see them all under one sub-heading.

hey there boys and girls, just wanted to letja all know i've had a few e-mails in the past couple of weeks from scammers trying to get my bank details or get me to send prints before they make payments...also the regular nigerian scammer tricks with wedding photography.
i wanted to spread the word a little and warn you all as a few of them have included my photo's from this site in their e-mails. ...they are very clever people...
be carefull you lot!
I will letja know the names of the brats once ive sorted out the good'uns form the bad'uns!
