Emme Toaye's Online Portfolio

I started out doodling in class because I couldn't see the blackboard. I spent a lot of time in trouble because I spent more time drawing than doing school work.  It's a wonder they didn't run all the creativity right out of this body.  Once I was on my own I took classes on ceramics, jewelry design and redesign, pottery and tole painting.  I never took classes on drawing or painting although I wish I had.

I don't like doing the same thing over and over so I never do any custom work.  I never know what I'm going to create.  The items I gather in Thrift Museums,estate sales, garage sales, in the woods at the sea shore determine what I create.  The items themselves are the brains and inspiration I am only the laboring hands.
