Chris Chalk is an artist living in Pembrokeshire in west Wales and his passion is to paint pictures. Chris grew up on a dairy farm in Wales and as a child spent long hours drawing wildlife.
Then, of course, he did grow up (sort of) and life got in the way of his painting and he had to do the usual things like get a job and earn a living.
He did many things work wise starting off as a Gamekeeper at 16 years old, then a Plumber for four years until he was 22, then he joined the Royal Navy as a marine engineer and for five years sailed the seven seas (well, a couple of them anyway).
At 27 Chris moved to New Zealand to live and ended up staying in NZ and OZ for the next 6 years or so. Great times where had by all.
Chris finally moved back to the UK in 2004 and is now living and working as an artist in Cilgerran in west Wales.
He paints a variety of subjects from welsh landscape paintings, wildlife paintings, pet potraits, to seascapes and Portraits.
