Curriculum Vitae of Brett Auden
I was never someone who took photographs. Throughout my short life on this planet i never bothered to highlight the moments i wanted to remember. One day my father put a magic box into my hands and said, "see what you think of this". An interest and a passion took hold of me like nothing else. I read everything that i could get my hands and over a couple of years taught myself as much as possible and i'm still learning! That old manual Cosina SLR is still going strong and is extremely resiliant to the weather. I especially enjoy landscapes (because they don't move!). I've always believed in photography on film. Digital is useful but i don't feel the whole process has the soul that is held within film. I enjoy simply being observant in this world. Aware of what is around you whether it be a scrap of paper on the floor or the smile of a loved one. At the moment i'm playing with light and colour, not so much the focus on detail. "I am what i think, not what i am"
